John Gladki of GPA was responsible for managing all of the planning approvals for these developments, located in the west end of Toronto at the corner of Windermere and the Queensway, near Lake Ontario. The site is located on former brownfield lands and involved extensive soil clean up prior to development. The initial development involved 120 townhouses on the southwest corner of Windermere and the Queensway, known as Windermere in the Park West Townhouses. Subsequent phases included 104 townhouses (known as Windermere in the Park Townhouses) and a 27-storey condominium with 306 units (known as Windermere in the Park) at the south east corner of the intersection. Two additional condominium towers of 29 and 35 storeys with 464 and 525 units respectively were added in 2011 and 2013 west of Windermere, known as NXT 1 and 2. Mr Gladki was also involved in gaining approval for the site plans and numerous variances to the site specific by-law at the Committee of Adjustment, as well as the necessary amendments to various agreements to bring the development to completion. The buildings are now complete and occupied.
