Scarborough Centre Focused Review

The City of Toronto has hired Gladki Planning Associates (GPA) to lead a team of consultants, including DTAH, to update the Scarborough Centre Secondary Plan through the Scarborough Centre Focused Review (SCFR) Study. SCFR is an integrated planning process that will develop a comprehensive framework specific to Scarborough Centre with the intention of accommodating future growth and transforming the area into a complete community. Phase 1 of the Study concluded in March, 2019 and developed a vision, set of planning principles and a preliminary public realm plan. GPA is leading Phases 2-4 of the Study to consolidate and build upon the work completed in Phase 1, and to prepare a complete set of policies relating to built form. The resulting updated Secondary Plan will guide future growth and encourage city building that is resilient and sustainable, promote positive change and place-making over the coming decades, and support the development of Scarborough Centre as a vibrant urban node to serve its working and resident populations.
