GPA were retained by the City of Toronto to review the City’s Laneway Suites Zoning By-law Amendments to determine whether any changes to the By-law may be necessary to improve the relationship of a laneway suite to adjacent properties and to facilitate the construction of suites. The results of this work contribute to part of City Planning Division’s objective to support Laneway Suites as an additional rental housing option in Neighbourhoods. GPA is conducting a review of approved and constructed laneway suites and Committee of Adjustment applications, interviewing industry professionals, identifying emerging trends and proposing changes to the zoning by-law.
